Conflict and insecurity are major barriers to development in Somalia. CEH’s Peacebuilding and Good Governance program focuses on promoting peace and strengthening governance systems at the community level.
Program Goals:

  • Reduce conflict through dialogue, mediation, and peace education.
  • Strengthen local governance institutions to promote inclusive and transparent decision-making.
  • Empower youth and women to take leadership roles in peacebuilding and governance.

Key Activities:

Peacebuilding Dialogues: CEH facilitates peace dialogues between conflicting communities to resolve disputes and promote reconciliation.

Leadership Training: Local leaders and youth are trained in conflict resolution and good governance practices.

Peace Clubs: Youth are engaged through peace clubs that promote non-violence, civic engagement, and leadership development.

Establish connector projects
Support local administrations structures and strengthen their capacities.
Inclusion of women and girls in local governance
